Flowcoat UV - Built For Mission Readiness

Flowcrete partnered with Multiblast in 2010 to undertake the epoxy flooring at Royal Australian Air Force (RAAF) Base Amberley’s No. 1 Squadron facility. Fifteen years later, the RAAF again asked for a suitable specification to renew the floor and meet the demands of this critical military environment.

The challenge was to deliver a system that met strict safety and performance requirements. The scope included surface preparation, epoxy repairs, line marking for operational zones, and installing the striking Kookaburra logos. Every detail supported workflow efficiency and compliance with slip resistance standards.

Operating within an active defence precinct required careful planning. Access controls and scheduling restrictions added complexity, while the floor needed to withstand fuels, fire suppression cleaning, and constant traffic. Flowcrete’s technology and Multiblast’s expert installation delivered reliability without compromise.

The solution? Flowcoat UV with a UV-stable polyurethane finish. Deckshield UV Linemarker defined walkways and chevrons, achieving P5 slip resistance. Across 2,400m², this project reinforces Flowcrete’s commitment to durable flooring for Australia’s defence infrastructure.
